Hi, guy's i have a cobra 25 ltd classic " it's gold face". anyways i haven't use it in about 8 years, and i hooked it up. It powers up,i key up the mike and the light turns red, but no needle swing or no sound. any ideas?

Double check the radio settings and try a different mic.

i did check it switched it with another one , both mics work on a different 25.

Tripple check everything, do the PA test, see if its the audio chip? Does it have RX?

zman i have to check on the pa test, but the rx light, lights up red when i key up the mike.

I have a 90ltd that has a blown chip, TX lights up too, no TX or RX and no PA. This chip isnt around anymore, so it sits.

i have a cobra 90ltd dont have any output power but audio chip is ok

Looks like we both have ugly paper weights with cord's, lol. Discontinued parts on 90 LTD's. I might have to just buy a working one, keep this for parts. Now, back to the 25??
