I bought a used one from eBay and just got it today. The seller purchased it factory assembled. I read the manual (flipped thru a few pages) strung up my 40 meter QRP wire, grabbed my paddles and el cheapo headphones and an old gel cell.
Within a few minutes I was calling CQ on 7.030. It's a little wide, but I made 3 contacts in about an hours time. One QSO turned into a lengthy chat, but all 3 reported a clean signal. I haven't checked output to confirm 3 watts, but I suspect it's close.
The build quality is nice. It seems to be a very popular unit. CRK has some other cool QRP rigs and gadgets as well.
Anyways, check 'em out.
