Hi, has anyone used the CRT CC7900V Turbo with preamplified microphones? I'm having problems with my Astatic D104-M6B. People who listen to my voice say it sounds like I'm speaking into an intercom... or it's as if I'm using a power amplifier. I've tried different microphone gain settings from 1 to 9 and I've also tried adjusting the preamplification on the receiver (setting menu button 01). I've also tried setting a different ceramic/electric microphone capsule (setting menu button 02), but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

For quite a good while I used a d104m6 with both the 7900v turbo and the q5n2 and didn't have any problems. I eventually went back to using the stock mic because it had better audio.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
