I HAVE A D104 MIC... IT HAS A RED WIRE AND A WHITE WIRE WRAPPED WITH BARE WIRE... CAN IT BE HOOKED UP TO A 4 PIN CONNECTOR FOR A COBRA RADIO?

D-104

Short answer - YES

White wire is the Audio wire

PTT is between the red and shield

Hope this helps

Your mic is not amplified, do not expect G R E A T audio with it.....

IM ABOUT AS DUMB AS A BOX OF ROCKS SO IM NOT SURE WHAT PTT IS... AND WHAT IS THE 9 VOLT BATTERY FOR? NOW I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHICH WIRE GOES WHERE ON A 4 PIN PLUG FOR A COBRA 29LTD

'PTT' = 'push to talk'

Might want to be sure there aren't four conductors in that cable, as I am not aware of any D-104 that didn't have at least that many. There should be one shield, red, white, and black wire. Most of the new ones are all 6 conductors ; the old ones are all 4 conductors. The 9 volt battery is for the built-in mic preamp. Test and replace if necessary.

Astatic D-104 (4 wire) to Cobra 29LTD
pin 1- Shield
pin 2- White
pin 3- Red
pin 4- Black
