I have a Palomar 350XL blue face look like Cobra 350XL with 2x 2879's in it I assume I should have 2 watt or less dead key ad 20 to 30 watt PEP? The same for the white tornado 225 with 2x MRF455's? Does it mate how many finals the radio has if I can get the wattage down? Is 20 watt PEP to low? I appreciate any help, I am new to amplifiers Thanks

20 watts PEP should be plenty for either amp. A low powered radio like the Uniden 980, Cobra 148, Cobra 25/29 would work great. And some of these newer 60-70 watt Export radio's are probably too hot even with a low dead key.

I have been told an AT-5555Nii or AT-6666 is too much radio because of the number of finals but I believe from a 2 watt deadkey the swing will also be lowered to around 15 to 16 watts. Why would that be too much for a 2 transistor amp?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
