Dead linear amp hulks...???

Does anybody have any idea where I would be likely to find an old dead linear amp?

What I am wanting is a heat sink and a case... to make a high power (as in 250 watt 30 dB) attenuator for my test bench.


Obviously it doesn't even have to have the board in it. I've just never thought about looking for one.....

Has anybody seen them around? THanks!!!!

I see a lot of of that stuff, heatsinks, dead vhf amps with heatsinks etc, at ham radio swapmeets but there are no guarantees. Id put a want ad on QRZ.com or similar sites for a heat sink with the size you need which hopefully isn't critical.
