Did some radio handles

I put together some handles for a couple of radios. They can be handy with a radio that is not permanently mounted & being used in a temporary fashion. They can provide some front panel protection & elevate the bottom above a flat surface for better cooling & sound from bottom mounted speakers.

These were done with a 3d printer using ASA, so they can stand up well to environmental UV & heat.

The first was done for the AT-778UV style radio, a form factor also used in the RT95 & Stryker 94HPC.

It also has a provision for adding a prop to better angle the front panel view & project sound from the bottom speaker

Holes in the top allow radios to be stacked, joined with pins. A wedge shaped piece can be used to angle the top radio, here seen attached to the bottom.

The other set was done for an Anytone AT-5555N II.

I put the STL & Fusion 360 source files on Printables.

Nice. I was trying to find something like that that would work for 5555n type / size case radios online and there is really not much available out there.

Those are pretty cool. I also like that they're stackable, my first thought was those are perfect for running a mobile as a base because you wouldn't need an external speaker unless you just wanted one.

Sorry, I only printed sets for my own radios. Anyone using these either printed their own or had someone else print them.

The print files & source can be downloaded from printables.com at the URL's listed above. If you don't know someone with a printer, there are commercial printers out there, but I don't know enough about them to recommend one or guess the cost of such a print.

Some public libraries have printers available for public use, just charging for material used.
