Digalog CRC100 Freq Counter not reading correct

I have a Digalog CRC100 that just started acting up. Instead of reading frequency it just keeps changing but stays around 23.000 but will not stay locked any ideas on what I can do to fix it. Thanks Jimbo

I have checked all the diodes in counter , voltage regulator not sure how to check it but unit is coming on and showing frequency but wrong and keeps changing.

Sounds like it is not 'locking'.
You might want to find a schematic for it and then post it here so that we can take a look at it from a flow perspective . . .
