The ems-3 mic/speaker with dtmf for my old alinco dr-599 has failed (got wet and damaged) ..
this mic is I think no longer available but there is an ems-57 with an 8 pin plug which looks like it would suite.
Currently I am using a kenwood mic with the same connector which keys the transceiver and provides basic functionality but
I don't think allows control of the rig using the c commands and dtmf tones .. the kenwood mic also lacks a speaker.
Does anyone know if you can use an ems-57 mic/speaker and get all the functionality of the ems-3?
thanks
