As far as I know, every CB which is made today uses a first I.F. of 10.695MHz, and a 2nd I.F. of 455KHz. The major reason is that filters for these frequencies are readily available. Its the older CB radios that are single conversion.
Back in the 70's when CB channels were expanded from 23 to 40, they limited it to 40 channels because this was all that the single-conversion 455KHz-IF receiver could handle.
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
