Does anyone know what Q 32 is? I have a DX 2527 that someone removed Q 32 and i want to put it back in.

I deleted the above post because I was looking at the DX2547. Ill look at the 2527 schematic in a moment.

Sorry for the confusion.

Q32 controls ALL limiting, AM, SSB, FM, internal compressor. This tends to produce "kazoo"-quality audio unless you play the mike gain like a violin. If you want just the AM limit bypassed, remove Q55, and put it into the Q32 spot. This will now activate the sideband ALC and prevent the mike audio from clipping before it gets sent off to the various modulator circuits. Q55 controls AM modulation limit only.

And yes, type number is 2SC945 like the man said.
