DX Radio Shop misleading people

I was confused about the "tractor" part, then i read the other topic.

Do you plan saying what shop did that?

DX Radio Shop in New York is telling customers that the stickers on side of President Washington radios are warranty stickers and the president washington radios he sells have a serial number tied to the stickers (LIE). Some people have reached out to president electronics us and confirmed DX Radio Shop is misleading people. DX Radio Shop claims to be a honest shop. He refuses to admit he was wrong and make a simple video telling his viewers/customers the truth. Guess some people will do anything to make a buck.

Maybe K-LINK has a Fan kit for the President radios. I installed the K-602 Fan Kit on my AT-5555 Plus and no stickers to be concerned about. Connect the wires to the Power Supply and life is good.

Removing labels and installing accessories into a new radio can be intimidating. Purchasing a new radio and the fan kit from a Radio Shop and have the shop install the fans would relieve the stress and concern about warranty issues.

You sound like a schill no offense but you do not sound like you belong on this forum with an answer like that!

It would be liking being on a website devoted to hot rodding your vechile and you tell someone to run what ever oil is listed in the factory owners manual. It would be suspect given the sight and the nature of the hobby!

Bear in mind the point of contention here is what he is saying not what he is doing. Claiming that the tampering sticker is somehow going to void your waranty if distrubed by anyone other then him in this case. That is what is being implied. He is not doing this for free as added benifit of purchasing from him correct? He is claiming the tamper stickers are serilized to the radio and it's warranty which is not true.

I could see "beating on it" if it was years old post but it's not. This just recently happened and i replied to other people comments on here.

@Recon if you don't like this topic, why not ignore it instead of telling people to move on. Let the topic run it's course and die off on it's own.

This site is very easy going. They put up with me even. A lot of sights you just hint at something a sponsor does not like or agree with no matter how polite you are or honest the post it get's delted and you get banned!

I agree the company in question sounds like real trash to me too but the point is well made and I do not think anyone other than Recon disagree's with you. That said the people that disagree have the right to disagree. I expect 7 out of 10 people to disagree with me anytime I post anything.

People agreeing with you or disagreeing with you is not in any way validation or the opposite of the point you made. Wanting unconditional validation is unrealistic.

I would also suggest that argueing with moderators/admin.'s over their offical duties is not in the best interst of your post or your continued membership. The guys on this site are super patient and allow a lot of latitide!

Far worse goes on every day in the hobby. Sad but buying a radio new or used is almost as bad as purchasing a new or used car!

I am very opionated and can rub some the wrong way but I am not a liar and try to give good advice in spite of my bias. I have 3 sons 27, 23, 23 and always try to give the same advice to other's that I would give to my own 3 sons!

How is exposing a radio shop lies "Bashing"?

1) Those stickers are not warranty stickers and cannot be used to void product warranty in the US.

2) It's impossible to tie radio Serial number to those stickers. The stickers just stay President safety seal with no numbers on them.

It's a violation of Federal law for any US company to use stickers to void product warranty.

Found this written statement from a well known CB Radio Shop.
To install your optional fans, you will need to remove the original warranty stickers on the radio. In order to safeguard your warranty, two stickers will be automatically provided with the fans, so that you can put them back in place.

My only intent in replying to Oooker's post was to inform him / her that the Radio Shop identified in his / her post, is not the only Radio Shop combining / confusing warranty with stickers.
