The bias test jumper in the DX2517 and other sideband radios is commonly called the "mirror board" because of its shiny surfaces. But it's just a jumper wire. Pull it out of the clips and you complete either the driver or final transistor circuits through your current meter.

But what to do if the copper foil traces under the board will no longer support those spring clips?

Here's one way.

Or you could just solder wires on the foil side of the board. This way makes it easier next time bias current needs to get checked.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
