Eagle 2000 Export?

My friend just picked up a old Eagle 2000 export base radio. I was just wondering what that radio is that the same as? It looks like a Galaxy 2517, But the 2517 is a much newer radio. Any ideas? Thanks

i have one and its a good radio i boute it new and its my understanding thats its a galaxy radio with a differnt name,there all the same radios its just who puts there name on it,its all the same in the inside and the board.just like my voyage,vr 9000 all it is is a galaxy 88 with no mike gain
