i agree jack could have been more diplomatic, oddly he was never a dickhead with me, on the other hand he did not suffer fools gladly,

if he presented copy/pasted material as his own that's dishonest,
on the other hand i think anybody making technical posts should post links to respected reference material.

He would just never credit anyone with anything he posted nor would he actually claim it was his own but gave the impression that it was. He did however take offense to someone re-quoting him and giving credit to the proper source. I guess he didn't like it being pointed out that the info was not his original work. If someone dared to question him he would go off berating them and questioning their credentials as opposed to simply addressing the questions.

i was just trying to learn from him . i don't recall anything he told me being shown to be wrong later though . and im certianly not saying i understood everything he said maybe %10 . he used to loose me quite often with all those $20 words but i got what i could and thanked him for it .

jack was only an asshole to people that post nonesense argue disrupt threads with bs,
things such as swr along a line are a no brainer that anybody should be able to come here and find the truth about,
they cannot get a straight answer because of technobull posters disrupting threads with crap,

i don't care where the info comes from or how you say it so long as its accurate,

I sort'a have to take your 'take' on freecell with a large grain of salt, kind'a. One of those thingys, you know? Or maybe you don't know.
While we are at it, exactly which 'freecell' are we talking about, there were more than one person posting with that user name. that was very self evident at times, not just a figment of my imagination. One of those 'personalities' was accurate maybe 50% of the time (very generous in that guess). Another was very taken with intimidation and 'speaking through his hat' about qualifications. I won't try to guess on that one's accuracy.
You see very few authorities on boards such as these. It's also not that difficult to find genuine authorities on electrical things, just takes a little knowledge and looking around. (I'm not an authority either, please don't get that idea!)
Want to see freecell back? Talk to the moderators and the board owner. I honestly don't care.
