Well i just got my radio yesterday. Today i was scanning channels because their was no one on the contest channels. Havent even talked skip with the radio yet. Got to 27.515 LSB and heard 2545 hollaring out. Hollard back and first time he came back. Said he was in Trinidad. Close to the west Indies. Said he was in the Caribbean sea. Not sure were exactly he is at but he said he was close to the West Indies. Just wanted to let everyone know this is the farthest contact i have made so far. Said i sounded good and he had 5db on my radio! CDX197

That's a good trip considering band conditions lately.Congrats. Trinidad is just off the north coast of Venezuela South America BTW.

That is what I like about SSB operation;easier to make those DX contacts w/such low power.Keeps peace w/the neighbors too :shock: That's always a good thing in my book.
