? Favorite Dual Final Radio, All Mode, Under $275

Hi guys,

Still haven't decided on a higher power new radio. For over $300 my choice will be the new RCI 2970N2

But what's the most popular dual final (at least 40-50w on AM) radio with sideband? Would like internal echo and one of those big round Galaxy type analog meters would be nice too. Under $300

I see Sparky has the RCI 3900HP, 60watts for $219 Everything I'm looking for expect the big meter. Anybody have one? Like it? TNX

Hmmm.... Walcott currently has the DX 94HP, 100w for $344 shipped. Not bad

Don't go to Walcott, I live about 2 hours from those guys... they're rip-off artists. Better off getting something elsewhere.

For a radio itself, I like my RCI 2950DX, solid performer, drift-free, and modifyable to 15 meters, so I can listen down there.

The Magnum 257 is a great little radio too, small, compact, strong output, all modes, and plenty of coverage for about $185-195 plus S/H.

Those are just a couple of my choices..... if I bought used, I love my old school silver-faced President Jackson.

(edit) The President Jackson is a single final radio, but it has great output, 60W PEP on SSB on my Bird 43A wattmeter in the mobile.

magnum s-9 will do what you asked and do it very very well .

i wouldnt get a high powered radio , too much heat/crap in a lil box . get a regular radio for a 2 pill or less or a dual final for a 4 pill or more . letting the external amp do the grunt work will result in more power and a longer lasting setup .

With all you want and under 300 bucks your not gonna find it unless you buy used. That said the Magnum S9 is about as close as what you are looking for.
