Hey All,

I have one of those on order from EEI, and just want to hear a few things about it. I have talked to several people that were on the Gen. Lee and that helped make up mind on buying one.

I guess EEI is having a hard time filling my two orders, I hope it is worth the wait. Thanks for any input you might have. Lucky

i have had one of these radios for about a year and it is a winner. good clear loud audio and impressive echo, even though i dont use the echo a lot. the other day i wanted to put a variable key in it. i used one of the knobs for the echo. great results. radio will now key from 0 to 20 watts. i have it set right now on 3 watts and it swings 30 on my dosy. i have it driving my three pill and get lots of flowers with it. you cant go wrong with this radio... CMEROLLN

Hi. I swapped a Galaxy 66 for my General Lee. When I got it, the meter light was burned out and whoever had tuned it, set the modulation too high. I took it to a shop up I-71 south of Cleveland, and the guy there changed the bulb, tuned, peaked, and aligned it for $35. Now, I get nothing but compliments. Very easy radio to operate while bouncing down the road in a non-air ride tractor-trailer. Simple, straight-forward control panel. I love it! Now, I just have to come up with $125 for the internal 100w stinger (set up with an on/off switch on the back of the chassis).

A great rig for am only operation, essentially a 3300 hpzx making a socio-pollitical statement! I had one for a while and it was one of the best sounding get down the road rigs I ever owned, untill some rat boy ripped it off in ontario. One of these days,I'll replace it as it is very easy to operate while driving.

If it only had SSB...........
