Looking twords the future and was wondering if there is much FM going on. I have been looking at a nice reciever but it dosen't have FM and was wondering if I would be missing much.

In my experience with FM, I have talked to people twice on it, in my probably 4 years doing radio. I don't really think you'd be missing much, because it is not much more efficient than AM and it seems to have a lot of static in my experience. Hope this helps!

Hook -

The only place you'll find FM on the HF bands is between

29.500 and 29.700 Mhz. There are a number of repeaters

between 29.500 and 29.700, spaced about 0.010 Mhz

appart. There's moderate activity on the repeaters and

some simplex FM too. I don't know a lot about it, I just don't

listen up there very often, but when the band is open you

hear stations from anywhere.

The universal call frequency for 10 meters FM is 29.6 Mhz.



When Europe is coming in DX listen for them on FM.
