I see that there are very few of them in existence, possibly only one still active, that being this one:

Worldwide DX Amateur Radio Forums - Ham - CB - HF - VHF - UHF - Cb'ers

Now I don't really have the desire to be "THE ELITE FORCE OF HIGH POWER OUTLAWS so I'll have to leave that one to bigred and his buddies but is it alright to create other groups? If so, why haven't people already done so?

It is perfectly OK to create social groups and invite other members to them as long as the content falls within the general guidelines of the site.

I was thinking about creating some regional groups, or even special interest groups (like APRS), but was hoping some others would take it upon themselves to create groups of their own interest. They don't even have to be radio related.
