freq. help

cobra 148 gtl, would like to add dyi freq. meter to read out tx & rec.
any help on connecting appreciated

What the hell is a dyi freq meter???? Is that something like a DIY frequency counter? Did you buy one and if you did...why? etc.

I think he means one that is internally hooked up.they can be difficult to install as they have different wires for usb lsb offsets etc Have a look on Welcome to CBTricks i think i also saw a howto in http://groups.yahoo.com/the_mod

maybe i should change my question to:where (at what connection) in a cobra 148 gtl is the incoming signal (freq + audio) the greatest in amplitude before it is demodulated?
