I converted 3 of the 857D's and I use a battery powered soldering pen I bought at Home Depot with very thin electronic solder. Makes it VERY EASY

I knew that would bring a response from you Pat. I have seen a couple radios however that looked like the 100 watt AB was used on them. :shock:

If you notice, It only took Hammer 22 min to respond to my request for help. My radio was sent out today.
