At 102 feet long it's going to take a BIG attic.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> Just string it up between trees if your attic isn't that long.It will be hard to see anyway. As far as 11 meters, It should "work" with a tuner. How well? You will just have to try and see. "On 10 meters, the antenna functions as two "long-wire" antennas, each of three half-waves, fed in-phase. The polar diagram is similar to that of a three half-wave "long-wire" but with even more gain over a half-wave dipole due to the colinear effect obtained by feeding two three-half-wave antennas, in line and in close proximity, in-phase." 11 meters may give somewhat similar results.

Hi,

I am looking to purchase an antenna for my attic. I am focusing on the G5RV 80-6 meter dipole. Does anyone know how well this antenna works on 11 meter? How far can I talk locally? How far can I talk skip?

Also, if you have alternative recommendations, please let me know.

Thank you for any help!

Make sure you check the manual on the TS-2000 before using the tuner!! My Icom 746 Pro has a built in tuner also, but it can only handle tuning an SWR of 3:1 or less!!! Any worse, and it will smoke the tuner. I'm not sure if the Kenwood has the same limitation, but it certainly would suck to find out the hard way!!
