Galalxy dx 2547 woes...

A while back, I picked up a 2547 that basically didn't work for $15. After replacing parts, I have it rx/tx on AM. It will tx on sideband, but no receive. It has upper and lower channels and a 10k switch. The limiter is cut, so I'll have to put that back in because sideband tx is muffled. I haven't checked to see if the clarifier is unlocked, but I imagine it is. I've replaced L11 and L12, FL3, Q7 and Q20. Basically, using the shotgun approach. Not the best way to do it, but I'm learning. So, I'm stumped and need a bit of direction. When I turn it to USB or LSB, I get nothing. If I transmit next to it on sideband, it might pick it up, though. I could run it on AM, but I like sideband too. Since its a butchered radio, I was thinking about putting an RFX75 on it, but before I try that challenge, I want to get it working, and on frequency.

Thanks for the help!

Stuart

  • @ Deon:
Good day, I have an Icom IC910H radio. I want to program a memory with split frequency tone on TX only and NO tone on RX,. Is this possible to do from the face of the radio? I don't have the interface to connect to a computer.
  • @ crappykraco:
@Deon very unlikely to get a response here. You are better off starting a thread on the topic.
