Can someone tell me how or where to find frequency conversion on a galaxy 44hp.thanks in advance

im referring to the 44hp.this is for the 44v.dont know if its same process.looking to buy one and wanting info on it before buying.thanks.

I think that the conversion process will involve soldering & adding/removing parts. Recently the FCC cracked down on Export radio's claiming they were to easy to convert. Bottom line is the simple process of moving a jumper from Con 1 to 3 or something simple are gone. I would just buy the radio from a shop that does quality tech work, this way the radio is converted, tuned, and aligned once and you never have to mess with it.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
