came across a 93t for 150.00. guy says it was peaked and tuned, but who knows. its in good condition. was wondering if i should get it or spend a little more and get a mk3, anytone or a newer one.

Will do solid wattage for SSB contacts. Not as stable as a optima but once it warms up will work fine. Good audio on SSB and AM as along as it hasnt been hacked up.

For that price I'd buy it and I don't have any use for one. here is a video showing one

If you want a big loud radio with all the toys for a.m., go for it. I'm not sure of their ssb performance, or stability, but would assume they're the same as the rest of the galaxys.
If your main mode of operation is ssb, I'd think most here would tell you to lay down a few more bills and get the
optima mk3.
All depends on what you're looking for.

Agreed, if it comes complete with the box and everything as new you could flip it for a 50-60 dollar profit easy.
