How would I set up a Galaxy Dx 929 to run a KLV 550 /

yup what tony said. that galaxy should matchup nicely
with that kl amp.

just use the RF power knob on the face of the radio to turn the deadkey down to 2 watts.

inside the radio, find VR16 and turn it all the way up.
if you find that you have low modulation, you turned it the wrong way.
