Thank you HA. I am not familiar with this particular radio. Just... my eyes happened to catch what looked like "a 455KHz difference" and tried to apply a little logic to what I have learned in my old age!!!!!

I hope the gentleman can get it working.

By how WELL you answered it - for many don't think about the "How" the radio works, just the "Why".

It's not whether it is the correct answer, it is just that you are seeing events that many feel are asymptomatic, or a quirk to the problem - not realizing the Quirk is the biggest clue as to the Why it doesn't work.
