Galaxy dx959 No RX on AM

RX works on USB and LSB

Absolutely no receive on AM. Needle does not move and no RX audio. What info can I provide?

Somebody was in it because the clarifier is open.

Side Note: VR13 does not affect SSB audio/power and is over modulated. AM audio is perfect on the scope. Q39 Limiter is in tact.

First thing I would check is the mode switch. Process of elimination.

A friend of mine brought 959 that had no am receive all other functions worked fine.
I started with a receive alignment and when I got to L2 I noticed that when I pressed down hard on the slug receive started working. I replaced L2 and am receive was restored.
