galaxy dx95t vs. cobra 200gtldx

well Butch , time will tell I suppose ? Like 148s and 29s and 25s ,Lincolns,HR2510s ect.ect. ........maybe in 10 to 15 years down the line they might still be talking about these Cobra 200s and Galaxy type radios ? You know .the real test of time. The same can apply to other radios as well. I just resently obtained a virgin TRC-451 1981 (Rat Shacks last AM/SSB of this type) it is basically a Uniden/Cobra 146 , (no mic gain control) still a very solid and drift free radio and the RX/TX are sweet !! just needing to fine the right mic for it was the test and with the stock mic it held it's own. I guess the bottom line with anything is truly the test of time and sometimes even the best of radios tend to need a few bugs taken care of them there after

i also say the older 146 gtl is better..
i have not used or even seen a 95T so am unsure..

Got to say..
the new 200 GTL seems to be so so at best..
i totally dislike it..

but i get what others ask me for..
what can i do..

i really liked my older AR-3500
also a decent radi was the RCI-2970

better yet..
save up and step up to a decent kenwood yaesu or as i perfer Icom

Later

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
