An old buddy of mine ran one of those for a few years as a base and loved it. It sounded great and he could talk for and hour at a time with out any problems.

If you can aquire one at a good price I would jump on it. I don't know why, but, that radio sounded so sweet and took one heck of a lot of abuse with out any problems. I wish all radio's could handle it that well!

I have a Galaxy II

I have a Galaxy II and have not used it in 20 years. Not being a radio geek what do I need to do to it to put it back in operation and what is it worth now.
