I'm listening to 38 LSB with my Galaxy Noise Filter turned on and the tone on high and with a small external speaker plugged in. The external speaker is one I bought back in the early Eighties. It's small, round, metal grill, pivoting mounting bracket and has a metal mic clip post on it's backside. With the GNF switched on the speaker is resonating at a annoying sound frequency but I think that if I add dampening material on the inside then that will change it's resonance. It takes a little getting used to but strong stations I'm receiving sounds fairly decent. My thought is that if you use a upper midrange tweeter with the proper filtering, the sound could be a whole lot better using the GNF feature on this radio. Has anyone else done any experimenting on this? Is there a GNF circuit mod that can improve on the sound quality? Your thoughts
