Hi guy....Are you saying this is supposed to be the model name of the radio? Never heard of one like that. Can you check on it? Pictures or weblink maybe?
If this is it, it is an older model. I would have the current owner show you and/or promise that everything works as should and be willing to take it back if it turns up with problems.

Saw a recent ad for one for sale for $200 so there ya go. I wouldn't pay more than $200 for it.

like all the early galaxy and excaliber bases they have a nasty tendicy to have the regulator take a dump and send 21v threw the board cooking most of the components.
is a mobile radio in a big box. i dunno i had many old galaxys and i guess i bought them just to have them. i never really liked any of them. if you looking for one i would say buy it, otherwise look for a newer radio like a 2517. they didnt have the power supply issues the earlier models had and are better on sideband.
out of all my old galaxys i liked my old 2527 the best, im pretty sure someone on these boards owns it now.
