Gamma Match location

With a horizontal yagi does it matter if the gamma match is in line with the elements or does it need to hang down?

It does not matter, but if it is hanging down, birds are probably less likely to be sitting on it.

Ok I won't worry about it then. I just put it up and I notice that the gamma match is in line with the elements and it's facing the same way as it's transmitting. I just didn't know if it would cause some type of reflection with trasmitting or receiving.
