GE Mic wiring

I found an old GE EA68X124 mic while hunting for some coax. Hooked it to my 29LTD and nothing, I keyed the mic and could hear the radio so I'm assuming it's not wired for a cobra. I can't find any wiring info for the GE so I'd appreciate any help.
The pinout now is...
1: orange
2: shield
3: grey
4: blue

wont work with the 29,,,, the grey push switch indicates that only works because it is a eletrec element and wont work on the 29 but will work on some of the older older 19,,,,,

That mic contains a 500 ohm dynamic cartridge and it will work on a 29 if wired correctly. The gray vs. black key scenario holds true for some Cobra mics, but not for the GE brand. Show me a close-up of the inside of that mic and I’ll tell you how to wire the plug.

You can’t always go by colors. I suggested the first method for that reason, but if you don’t care to open the mic you can try the following.
Most 4 pin GE’s and Midlands are wired the same, but are wired opposite of the 4 pin Cobras.

GE : Pin1-Audio, Pin2-Shield, Pin 3-RX, Pin4-TX
Cobra: Pin1-Shield, Pin2-Audio, Pin 3-TX, Pin4-RX
On the mic plug simply switch the Pin 1 and 2 wires, and then switch the wires on Pin 3 and 4

Thanks sunbulls. I'm glad I wasn't wiring anything serious up... It's a green not blue wire...
Also, the plug is a tad different in design, the insulator isn't removable, you have to solder in the hole. Pretty sure I can do that... maybe...probably...kinda..LOL

Shield (common)-Pin1
Orange (audio)-Pin2
Gray (transmit)-Pin3
Green (recieve)-Pin4

Reverse the Sheild and Orange wires
Reverse the Gray and Green Wires

I've used those mics on Cobras and they sound great.
