Have one I just got about a week ago. Wanted somthing to use in the truck that was AM only. I have about 5 SSB radios and mainly use SSB at home. Like the radio so far. Anyone using one? Have it set at 5 watts DK to use with my 350 Magna. Swinging about 42 watts or so. Love he front mounted mic and the talkback works well. I dont use echo but it does work well. It does not have roger beep but I dont use that either. Anyone using one and how do you like it.

Is there much of a difference between a General Lee & a Connex 3300 HP ? They look pretty similar to me ....No SSB HMMMMMM :?:
The Connex and Genreal lee are the same radio on the inside. So is the Galaxy 33/44 for the most part.
3300, the Lee, the 33, all a great truck driver radio, 3300hp is the dual final seriously rock and roll box in my experience, but the Lee's are always loud. I would like to know who found the voo doo to get a 8 ro 1 swing up from a 5 watt deadkey from a Lee though. I have seen 6 to 1 but never 8 to 1.
3300hp, lee, superstar 6600hp, all the same radio. In fact they all have a sticker on the board that says CX3300HP. EPT3600 board yada yada
The latest CX3300HP's use an IRF (I forget specific number, maybe IRF 520) FET as their final, and are showing over 50 watts PEP.
Station local here has Connex w/newer final swears he's getting 80w peak with his. Least that's what the tech down in FLA. told him after he had gone thru Connex. Tech's meter musta been awful loose.
