My saga continues. Wanting to open up the permissions (MARS/CAP) mod on my 2023 TYT9800. Still haven't finished trying - have one more Software Set to try when a friend can make time to come over with his Windows laptop and try it for me.
In the meantime, I wrote back in and asked them if they would do the mod for me for a fee if I sent it into them. They wrote back (never mentioned this before) that the models past 2021 could not be unlocked any further. Does anyone here have a post 2021 9800 that they were able to unlock?
 

Forget this hooey. Have sold the TYT and have coming an Icom 2730A from HRO for $309 ..... which I should have done in the first place. Pop the cover and 2 diodes and I'm good.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
