" Here is a list of Anti-Gun Bills that have passed the CA State Legislature. The session is over until next year. Now it is up to the Governor to Veto or Sign Into Law each Bill.
Please call, write, email and holler at Governor Brown asking nicely for him to veto these bills.
SB 374 is probably the most urgent one, will outlaw all semiauto rifles that do not have a fixed magazine with less than 10 round capacity. Like AR15s for example. Mandatory registration as "Assault Weapon", which means no buying, selling or inheriting. May not freely transport "Assault Weapons"

BILLS GOING TO GOVERNOR BROWN
AB-48 (Skinner): Bans magazine rebuild kits (including individual parts), Buy, sell, import or assemble "Conversion Kits" is misdemeanor, less than 6 months jail and or less than $1000
AB-169 (Dickinson): Bans transfer of handguns not on the "not unsafe handgun" roster. Exception for two transfers per calendar year. No sales from cops to non-cops. No single shot conversion work around. Importing C&R handguns by C&R FFL still allowed.
AB-170 (Bradford): Redefines "person" for Assault Weapons permits. Loop Hole allowed purchase of NFA machine guns by "corporations". This closes loop hole.
AB-180 (Bonta): Additional firearms restrictions in Oakland. State law prohibits local governments from passing gun control laws. This makes special exception just for Oakland.
AB-231 (Ting): New crime for storing a loaded firearm in such a manner that a child could have access to it. Previous law, only a crime when a child Does gain access to your firearm.
AB-711 (Rendon): Lead ammo hunting ban. All hunting in CA must use non-lead ammo.
SB-299 (DeSaulnier): Must report firearm lost or stolen within 7 days of when aware or reasonably should have been aware. Infraction for first, second offense, misdemeanor for third offense.
SB-363 (Wright): Criminalizes storage of a handgun where the owner should have known a prohibited person or child would access it.
SB-374 (Steinberg): "Existing law regulates the sale, carrying, and control of firearms, including assault weapons, and requires assault weapons to be registered with the Department of Justice. Violation of these provisions is a crime. Existing law defines a semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and other specified features and a semiautomatic weapon that has a fixed magazine with a capacity to accept 10 or more rounds as an assault weapon.
This bill would, instead, classify a semiautomatic centerfire rifle that does not have a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept no more than 10 rounds as an assault weapon.
The bill would require a person who, between January 1, 2001, and December 31, 2013, inclusive, lawfully possessed an assault weapon that does not have a fixed magazine, including those weapons with an ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with the use of a tool, and who, on or after January 1, 2014, possesses that firearm, to register the firearm by July 1, 2015."
SB-475 (Leno) Will kill Cow Palace Gun Shows. Requires Boards of Supervisors of both San Francisco and San Mateo County to approve any Gun Shows at the Cow Palace
SB-567 (Jackson): Makes shotguns with a revolving cylinder an assault weapon. Must register by 2015
SB-683 (Block): Requires firearms safety certificate for purchasing any firearm January 2015. Will supersede the Handgun Safety Certificate.
SB-755 (Wolk) Expands definition of prohibited persons. Two designated misdemeanors in three years makes you prohibited. Like DUIs for instance.
