Got a question about the mic used in the pic for this topic?

I know this sounds crazy, but what mic is pictured on the link to get to this room? It's rectangular with long, red botton. Can you tell me anything about it?



The reason I ask is because I was at a garage sale this weekend and saw one for a couple dollars, but didn't think it was for radios.
