Grant LT with front end overload... several K popped it

I have a few Grants (LTs) that have all been damaged by being too close to other big strappers.

I have replaced the 1969 final but still only does half of what it used to do. Before replacing the final it did very very little . So it is half way fixed to put it in perspective. I have replaced the driver also with no change, not sure if the old one was bad or not.

I am asking for some advice on what to check ot thoses who have been down this road before.

Final - changed

Driver - changed

I founf R181 burnt - replaced - no change

Audio circuit transistors?

Caps?

Resistors?

New radio?

Thanks for any input for my output

I can suggest someone who can fix it. Myself without physically seeing it I don't really have any advice sorry.

The best thing to do would be to pull any capacitors in the output section that are at high impendance points, and check them with an LCR meter..I guarantee that one or more are shorted. Also, it would be a GREAT idea to check the PIN diodes in the front end of the receiver. Then check the RX sensitivity, and make sure it's up to par, if it's not, check the 1st RF amp, it's a 2SC1674. Replace it. Now the radio should be ready to go.

Read you response and just wondering if similar could be happening to a radio that I have. It's a Superstar Grant, Galaxy board and symptoms are pretty much the same.

About 1/2 the power of normal. Have checked and replaced numerous parts but still down on ssb and audio is kind of fuzzy.

Is it worth me checking?

Thanks for your insights.
