I have a grant xl (philly) and had it tuned and peeked 13 years ago when I bought it. I got a little Palomar tx 75 to put behind it and it took me awhile to turn down dk to 1.5 watts on my dosy tfc 3001 now I put it in my truck with the amp and tried it with my meter and it would key up to 40 watts and when modulated went up to 43 watts. I was told that the radio had the npc mod and if I took out resistor 196 and install a jumper I would be able to set dk which worked like a charm. So what do I need to do to get the swing so I can get the amp to go to its fullest potential. Thanks for any help.
