IV been using a Tram 1465 kit on a 10' pole using a Diamond CR320A it work's OK.

What is the 4x 18" ground rods on the mounting kit for? I thought it was a Ground plane in-case you cant ground your mast....?

A ground plane is completely different than a grounded mast. A ground plane functions as part of the antenna and the signal emitted from the antenna basically reflects off the ground plane. A ground plane may or may not be connected to electrical ground. A grounded mast is exactly that and is connected to electrical ground. Mounting a vertical antenna without a ground plane on a grounded mast is the same thing as mounting it on an ungrounded mast.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
