Well Good evening Radio Friends, Well I finally broke down and ordered a new Power Supply to run my radio at home! I found on eBay a brand new Pyramid PS8kk 6 amp power supply for only $39.99 and free shipping!! The one I have been running is a cheap used radio shack 25 amp switching power supply and I'm noticing more and more the Rfi hash when I run the power supply, plus it's very loud,I mean the fan on it,I read somewhere online that switching power supplies can cause Rfi hash in radios, hopefully the one I'm getting will be a little quieter!! Will let you know when I have it hooked up!!

Steve

We used to have the American eagle net which is where my number 336 comes from. There used to be two controllers I could reach from Western Mass and Eastern Connecticut. We're talking about 20 to 30 years ago. I have the 980 in my truck paired off with an RM KL 503 p. I'm pretty happy with it

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
