HamGadgets ID-O-Matic IV

Long story short: I got it to work with my FT-530 in CBR; got it to work with my D710 (NOT in LBR); but it will not work in LBR because Mic gets muted during CBR/LBR and also mutes Mic input on the data jack, so it inhibits the ID-O-Matic from keying down. I know most everybody out here either has a TS-2000 or a V71; but I'm pretty sure the architecture of the D710 and V71 are pretty close. Anybody else have any experience with this or knows if there is a work around?

Here is how I wired the ID-O-Matic to the D710. I suplied power to the IDOM from an external source.

D710 IDOM4
Pin 1 (PKD) to I/O 11
Pin 2 (DE) to I/O 12
Pin 3 (PKS) to I/O 3
