Has anyone tried this Chinese mobile yet?

I'm thinking hard about it. Nothing is too good to be true, but it might be fun to play with to see if they're worth anything.

I would double check to make sure it covers the USA 220 MHz phone portion of the band (222-225 MHz) I recall some of the Chinese units don't as they were developed for business use over there.

I use a Baofeng UV82X for 220MHz FM on a dedicated 220MHz ground plane. There is quite a bit of 220MHz FM activity around here. If you do explore that band, this is the antenna I got from eBay. It can be used on an NMO mag mount (without the radials of course)

I don't have a triband antenna nor any 220mhz repeaters where I am.
Curious if the RX is decent . . .

Same here, Robb. I don't really know why 220 never took off in D/FW, but it's all 2 meter/440 stuff around the metromess.

For 100 bucks, it would be cool if it's decent.

The comments in the Amazon listing show that it can be used for the 220Mhz band - I'm guessing it's just a software mod, like all of those radios.
