You need a proprietary programming cable and software. Make friends with the tech at your local Kenwood LMR dealer.

i got a buddy that can program those. i had one for a little while this summer (was his he told me to try it for a few months and see how they worked). it worked as a rugged little radio but the lack of memory channels was a real bummer.
software is free to download form kenwood. the cables are pretty cheap on ebay (under $15 shipped). universal radio has them for $31 plus shipping.
they are more of a buisness radio, no options but there tough.
