I'm in the process of maybe picking up a Texas Ranger moble unit model TR-396FC

However, I have seen there is a cool channel MOD for this radio and what I'm wondering is, will the internal frequency counter on this radio pick up on those extra channels added once done ?

Please reply if you know or know where I can find out the answer fast as I may lose out on a deal but rather the freq counter would be able to follow those added channels, Retro (Jimbo)

Yep, the internal counter will read correctly.

~Cheers~

Thanks bro, yeah bout to take my Midland 79-265 over tommorow for a tune up and I know you commented on the extra channels... I printed out what you said, if you in the meantime can think of anything to add to that, please let me know.

BIG CHEERS THANKS, RETRO

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
