I have a ts sweet sixteen with a 93t and wilson 5000 mag mount #2 welding wire ran. Problem is every body says it sounds great but seems like at the end of every word I day it drops out low. Cant see it on meter. What might it be? Maybe relay or what do you guys think

From the brief description, if you're running AM it sounds like the carrier on the radio may be set too low and is not holding the relay energized. You could try turning the carrier up a little and see if the relay holds between words. If it's not a low drive issue it may be a problem in the keying circuit itself that senses RF drive from your radio. Things like a bad diode, cap or leaky transistor can reduce the sensitivity of this circuit. One simple solution may be to just put the amp in the SSB mode even if you're on AM. The SSB delay will hold the relay keyed between words just like it does when you are using SSB. At least this will prevent the relay from wearing out quickly.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
