Hi!
I bought some used equipment. I purchased a Realistic TRC-434 (I think) base and a Cobra 142 base station and some used mikes and stuff real cheap from an estate sale. I have tested the Realistic; it works great (at least on a small mag mount whip in my truck <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> ). I tx and rx ok. But the Cobra; I get no transmit or recieve that I can tell. I don't even get squelch when I power it up. Nothing. The TX LED lights up when I try, and the RX stays on continuously otherwise.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem a tech needs to look at (I have no idea, being completely new to this and without technical skills of any kind <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/donotknow.gif ALT=":donotknow"> ). I've tried a few different mics and same result.
