I traded for a Cobra 29 LX and when I got it they said they just change the radio from one Auto to the other and no longer will power up. I thought the power wires was hooked up wrong which I think that was the problem and here is what I have done so far. I got it to power up by changing the Protection Diode and replacing the Power Transformer.
OK once I did that I had good power but no receive or modulation. It would key up and show wattage, but no receive or Mod. So I replaced the TDA-2003 Audio Chip and now all it does is makes a strange noise.
I hope the video works on here and will help someone to figure it out.
